Question #1: Is my lovebird a male or female?

Hi, i just got what i think its a male lovebird 2 weeks ago, since i have a female lovebird and want her to have company, i did all the introduction the way it is, kept them apart for a week, let them both free fly in my apartment and they get along so well. The problem is , they are mating but im not sure if he is a male, he or she regurgitates to feed her and its constantly trying to mate with her, she is also mating, he climbs on her and they do this for a good 5 minutes. they stop and continue like 3 times a day, but i actually have seen him, shredding paper and doing it just right, puts it on his back but doesnt carry it anywhere, she ofcourse does and carries it to nest. When i saw him doing this , my doubts started, she does not let him in the nest , only at times but quick. His legs are somewhat close to each other but at times he spreads them while on perch, he is very light weight and flies very light, he also looks slim.please help me out. FEmale one is always fixing the nest. But is this bird i just got a male? because if not, then its not healthy for them to mate and have infertile egg, since i want to breed them only one time. I love lovebirds.. Please let me kknow, DNA is too expensive. Ohhh and this male lovebird regurgitates every like 5 minutes to feed her and she eats it, while he dances from perch to perch trying to mate..

Question #2: Where to do one-time bulk paper shredding in NYC?

I'm helping to clean up a relative's home. There's about a milk crate worth of old mail that needs to be shredded and disposed of properly. I know from past experience, my personal shredder won't be able to handle all that mail.

Is there a shredding place I can walk up to, pay a small fee, and do my bulk shredding for one-time use? I may not be doing a correct Yahoo/Google search, but all I'm finding are companies that deal with offices/businesses.

I'm looking for a place in the NYC area.

Question #3: Atheists, do you know how science actually works?

The scientific community is a BIASED, POLITICAL community with an agenda.

Here's the evidence:

1) Global Warming. The founder of the Weather Channel (who should know something about the weather) does not believe man is causing it.

2) They don't allow ANY mention of God. For example, if I were to say "Let's run a scientific experiment to see if prayer works" I would NOT be listened to. If I submitted papers, they would NOT be read and they would be shredded up.

3) They have a MONOPOLY on certain theories. You CANNOT teach alternate theories and allow students to decide for themselves.

4) Scientists are HUMAN and they are in a position to accept BRIBES to say certain theories are true. For example, let's say a petroleum company wants to claim that they haven't done that much harm to the environment. They bribe the scientist into saying they are okay.

5) Scientists are FUNDED by colleges and CORPORATIONS. Basically, they have to PLEASE their benefactors or their funding gets cut off. Gee, that doesn't sound like a recipe for corruption, does it?

Please tell me your thoughts on these five FACTS and how ANYONE should trust science 100 PERCENT. I'm not saying ALL science is bad. ALL I am saying is that you should be open-minded.

Question #4: I'm looking to improve my resume?

I'm a freshman in college and this summer I'm working at a product development company. I'm looking for a "fancy" title for my position and better phrasing of the tasks that came along with the job. I've pretty much been doing anything management needs me to do. Some of these things include:

Answering phones
Filing accounts payable
Doing bank reconciliations
Shredding paper
Keeping inventory
Cleaning
Shredded paper

Is there a better way to say any of these things? Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Question #5: Does anyone need a good laugh?

A man walked into his bedroom holding 2 asprins and a glass of water. His wife says "I don't have a headache" and he says "Aha!"

3 old ladies were sitting on a park bench when a flasher came up to them. The first lady had a stroke, the second lady had a stroke but the third couldn't reach!

A politician calls his mother and tells her he won the election.
His mum is really excited and she says "Honestly? Did you honestly win?"
And the politician says "Oh geez mum, why'd you bring that up at a time like this?"

A newly employed man is standing around the paper shredded when the CEO of his company approaches him and asks him how to use the machine. The trainee plucks the paper out of his hand and puts it in the shredder, shredding it into thin strips. The CEO says "Excellent, excellent. How do I make two copies?"

Question #6: How to keep my dog from using his crate as a toilet?

I've tried tons of things, if I'm home and company is over and he's crated he will not do this, he will hold it for a very long time. But the second i leave within 3 hours sometimes within an HOUR he will go poop and pee sometimes and lay in it. I let him out and watch him poop and pee (sometimes more than once) outside, then I crate him. So I do make sure he goes..I've tried many tips like flipping the tray in the crate so if he goes he will realize he's stuck with it...that doesn't bother him. He is desensitized to being soiled its gross. I can't leave him out of he crate that is not an option..he's very destructive and will mark when he's alone. I've tried putting him the bathroom instead, he will do the same + shred some toilet paper. (He is neutered since he was 4-5 mths) he is somewhat potty trained he knows as soon as he's outside he immediately pees and poops. Any advice? The whole concept "a dog keeps his den clean" yeah not ALL dogs. He's done this since he was a puppy, and I can still not break him of it. Can't leave him outside no fence..and he has gotten off every chain so far (chewed the collar off, chewed the chain, slipped out the collar) I come home to him running the neighborhood.
Well to those who say rehome him. Duh! I realize the dog needs lots of attention and he would be better, BUT the issue is we aren't here to do that. So should I lie to somebody and trick them into taking my "perfect" dog so he can do it at their house and be dumped off at a pound somewhere? I tried that, I was upfront with people and that scares them away. Hes a pitbull and he does this. When we got him years ago we had one child, once we had our second things got worse with him, then after the third child even worse. He is crated when we aren't home. Which is a few times everyday. He is a pitbull so not many people Want to adopt him, add to it his potty issues and nobody wants him. My other option is dumping him off at a shelter. But damned if you do damned if you don't...I'm evil for keeping the poor unhappy dog, but I'd be evil for taking him to a no kill shelter and "abandoning him"I love the perfect dog people who have all the answers on what not to do...great yes yes I know these
Yeah thanks but I tried the diaper thing, I watched the dog literally try to poop in the diaper I have a baby's diaper to change don't need a dogs. The crate is small enough for him to stand and turn in a circle, tried that..tried blankets those became covering for the pee and poop...blankets are absorbant! So he would pee on it then cuddle up. Idk what to do with this dog..

Theres a Ollder afircan american- older woman, 60s she trains the guards on cpr. From the start shes given me a hard time, I mean she straight has the stankiest attitude towards me..When i first started she demanded that i check in, (when shes not in my voice) because she wants to make sure I'm not stealing time, and coming to work on time...if other co workers talk to me , make a joke, smile at me or anything, she always staring at me very hard in my face., giving my back handed compliments.Theres two other people here in the office, they all go to lunch, and have never invited me.So, last week, she invited me to lunch, where everyone normally eats, which is in the back of the office, and when I go to sit, she and all of the other workers got up and left, when I sat down.My feelgs were so hurt..I know what is wrong with this lady and I feel the tension building and I feel like she wants to hurt me..as in fight me or stab me or something..thats how bad she stares at me...any suggestions why this lady is acting this way for no apparent reason...she tries to turn people against men. Now, there s this new temp lady HR lady, and I am in payroll and she will come to my desk and ask me to call somone for her, or send her something, and yesterday she asked me to call the service people to service the printer, and I forwarded her the number for her to call, and she keeps asking me to do minial tasks, and I told her to call herself, and she pointed her finger and said "No, I want you to do it"...and everyone in the office asks me to do minial tasks, like shred paper, copy,, not that i mind, but I dont know why the people that work here feel I should do everything they ask me,...one supervisor asked me to call another supervisor and ask him what time he was coming into the office, and I am in the middle of my payroll entries, so I politely told him, there is a landline phone on his desk, he abruptly interupt me and says never mind, I'm thinking why is he mad,...and I'm making mistakes on my payroll, yesterday I forgot to do the payroll fo a site, and these other employees, emailed the vice president, so i dont know if my job is in jeopardy, because I am so consumed with whats going in the office, I'm stressed, unfocused, unable to sleep, how do I deal with this?

Question #17: How much does an on site paper shredding company charge?

How much does it cost to have it done in my area? I work in Orlando.

Question #18: Can identity thieves use a name and address from an envelope in a recycle bin to steal an identity?

I think my wife is being a bit too paranoid about identity theft. She is a real stickler about shredding anything with our name and address on it. She was letting it pile up though and I thought I'd help by getting rid of the old junk mail.

I started shredding all of our junk mail with the name and address, but she got mad at me this morning because I was failing to shred the bar-code on the envelopes. She says the bar-code has the name and address and a thief will just use a reader to get the info.

A lot of mail typically has a clear window on the envelope and a name and address inside that shows through the envelope. So, what I would do is shred the piece of paper with the name and address and throw the envelope in the recycle bin. Well, the envelope in a lot of cases has a bar-code on it, so I got the third degree from my wife for being careless by not shredding the bar-code too.

The whole thing is annoying to me anyway because I don't even believe that an envelope, with no other information other than our name and address, could pose a threat to our identity if thrown in the recycle bin.

The thing is, our recycling is picked-up by the trash collection company in a large container that we set out at the curb every other week. The container is picked-up by a mechanical arm on the truck and dumped into the bin on the truck along with hundreds of other customers. I'm not sure where they take all the recycling, but it seems like it would be hard for someone to rummage through the recycling to dig up names and addresses. So, even if just a name and address were risky to leave on an envelope, how is someone going to get their hands on it anyway?

Question #19: is this good info on bunnies?

so i really want to get a bunny but i need to convince my parental units. im planing on having a rabbit hutch in the backyard so i kinda altered that into all this info. so what i need to know is:

-You will need a mini hair brush, a comb and a slicker brush.
-Make sure to brush soft and slow but still getting him brushed
-Provide hay to prevent them from ingesting their fur

PLAY TIME
-Bunnies are very curious and love to play
-Bunnies need to get at least 2-4 ‘out of cage time’ per day

-Simple toys like toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls and a box can sometimes be the best of all

Question #20: Cost of paper shredding?

How much does it cost to have paper shredded?

Can anyone provide links to show company price lists?

Thanks for any help.
I am looking at shredding waste paper and old newspapers to use as horse bedding, so no confidentiality issues or anything. Just bog standard paper shredding by weight, to be bagged up and used for the horses.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

I am in the UK btw.
